Corella Recordings — Logo & Branding

Taking inspiration from data visualisation showing sound and movement in a physical form, this logo was created for Corella Recordings, a record label based at UQ School of Music. Their recording and release are used as learning experiences for students.

More about this project

Corella Recordings is a passionate, independent record label based in the UQ School of Music in Brisbane. With a focus on supporting emerging artists and fresh new sounds. I worked with the founders from the ground up to bring their vision to life through thoughtful, creative brand design.

The project began with the development of the visual identity—starting with an exploration of the label’s tone, audience, and values. From the very beginning, it was clear they wanted a brand that felt artistic and expressive, but also professional and clean. Inspired by the label’s name and its connection to music we used sounds vibrations as the core of our idea. I created a logo that feels minimal yet distinctive, capturing both the individuality of the artists they represent and the label’s creative roots.

The final logo is versatile and elegant, designed to be used across a variety of touchpoints—from digital platforms and album artwork to merchandise and print materials. Alongside the logo, I developed a complete visual style including typography, colour palette, and supporting graphics that reflect the label’s bold but approachable energy.

This project was a truly collaborative process, with space for creative exploration and refinement at each step. It was exciting to build something from scratch that now lives at the heart of a brand that’s all about amplifying original voices.

Creating the visual identity for Corella Recordings was a rewarding opportunity to help shape a brand that’s not just about music—it’s about storytelling, community, and creativity.
